Earl is a rag, an ex-bath towel. A lazy pessimist,
he is constantly unhappy with those around him. “What do
you need this for… I told you not to do it”. Finding
solace in his glorious past, Earl is refined and sentimental.
He keeps a picture from a Bathrobe commercial: “Look at
the women I've wrapped, I've embraced…” Always trying
to hide, not to be disturbed, he helps only when worse comes to
worst, but loves the opportunity to grunt and complain.
